Serena Kuo is a cinematographer, director and creative director based in New York City. Her work includes narrative, commercial, documentary, music video, stop-motion animation, viral, disruptive, and fine arts. Her film work has appeared in numerous festivals including the Sundance Film Festival, NewFest Film Festival, OutFest Film Festival, Frameline32 Film Festival, 8th FIEC, Festival Internacional de Escuelas de Cine, Singapore, Hong Kong, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the Seattle International Film Festival.

Serena graduated from New York University with a B.F.A. in Film and Television Production and later attended RISD's Digital Media M.F.A. program with a focus on single and multi-channel video installation. In 2008, she co-founded Studio Mercury, a Multimedia Creative Firm rooted in Brooklyn, New York, where she currently acts as the Director of Film/Video Development. Over the past three years, Studio Mercury has gained International attention, garnering multiple recognitions, including the coveted AIGA Design award. The firm's client list includes Conde Nast, Newsweek, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum of New York, New York University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, New York University, Rhode Island School of Design, Virgin Mobile, Reebok, to name a few.
